Re: :At IDF, AMD showed off a production T-Bird at 1.1 GHz. Intel showed off a very souped up Willy at 1.5 GHz, and intentionally led the press into believing that the integer core ran at 3 GHz. Pretty deceptive in my book. Sometimes Elmer is a little naive, after all ;^))"

Now now Scumbria... Your nose is growing again. The fact is the ALU DOES run at 3GHz despite your claims that it was impossible. You even insisted that Intel claiming 1.5GHz was phoney.

"That is incredibly slimy of them to try to create the impression of an air cooled 0.18u part running at 1.5 Ghz"

SCUMbria - Re: ", AMD showed off a production T-Bird at 1.1 GHz"

Why can't anybody BUY this "production T-Tird" ?

After all, IDF was almost TWO MONTHS ago.
