OK, last post regarding Costco and 1 GHz processors,

I'm basing my assumptions on a limited supply of Athlon 1 GHz processors. Yes, you can buy cars and real estate and prescription drugs and photo development and whatever through Costco. But it's not like there's a small supply of any of those.

The only explanation that I could think of is that the 1 GHz Athlon is demand-limited. Now it's a question of whether that's due to a huge volume of those processors, or a rather small demand in the first place. Either way, being demand-limited isn't necessarily a good thing, especially as AMD's new Fab 30 gets set to ramp-up production volumes.

There, gotta run off now.
