Some people get off on back stabbing and arguing, by surprise attacks. You're thread could be helpful to some. But it would take away the element of a cold-blooded snake bite for others.

That is not to say that this thread should not exist, however, if a thread falls in the woods and there's no one to watch it fall...it DOES make a sound.
