So what is your reasoning on why AMD would want to take on additional depreciation (whether it is $10M or $20M or $40M or some other number) when it is not absolutely necessary?

What is the point of ramping Thunderbirds and Spitfires when the motherboard situation is still dicey?

Look at the recent history:
- there was shortage of motherboards in Q4
- it is end of Q1 now and there is still no volume on KX133s
- to make things a little worse, Spitfires and socketed versions of Thunderbirds need new infrastructure.
