Audiovox Corporation Announces Launch of New, Enhanced Corporate and Investor Relations Website - Ability to Purchase Products Online to Create New Revenue Streams - HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Audiovox Corporation (Nasdaq: VOXX - news), an international leader in the marketing of wireless, automotive entertainment and consumer electronics products today announced the successful launch of its new, enhanced corporate Web site at audiovox.com.
The new site offers visitors the ability to browse through over 900 of Audiovox's products, throughout all its product lines. The previous site showcased only 250 products. The new site has been designed to provide consumers, the company's wholesale customers, strategic partners, and investors with more relevant information including product features, education pages, frequently asked questions, warranty cards, product registrations and a glossary of terms. Visitors will also find owners' manuals and installation guides on many of the company's more popular products as well as be able to receive interactive customer service support. E-commerce for direct purchase from Audiovox will be available on a select number of accessory items.

Products on the new site are broken down into broad categories that include: wireless telephones, cordless telephones, remote starters and car security, automotive sound, power inverters, mobile video, Web related products (MP3), cruise control, personal and portable home stereos and theatre systems, and FRS two-way radios. These categories are further segmented by brand, since the company markets certain product categories under multiple brands.
E-commerce direct purchase options will be available for selected products that initially include accessories for wireless handsets as well as replacement transmitters for Audiovox security systems.
In conjunction with the new corporate Web site launch, the company announced a new investor relation's site, which has been created to provide real-time and historical information regarding the company's operations and financials.
