Yeah, I don't understand how so many people think they can invent the next safety syringe and take over the world. All the big providers have contracts with Becton, etc., and they aren't about to change. My guy invented a portsyringe, for use in central line catheter blood draws, and it had a special tube down the cannula for also administering fluids. Supposedly, it was designed such that it avoided hemolysis. And it had safety features to avoid needlesticks. I'm no doctor, but I read up on it. I guess people are still trying to hawk that stuff...
