Lynn, nihil and JDN- Thanks for all the info. It's becoming a bigger and bigger problem for him. As a food loving ranch dog, it's hard to control hid diet. He sneaks in catfood whenever nobody is looking. There's no garbage disposal, so table scraps go through him on the way to the compost pile, he's got this wistful look down to where you can't help but go to the refrigerator for a slice of c-h-e-e-s-e (mind control) and of course there's hamurger day at McDonalds. --- There's nothing he won't eat. He's even got this thing worked out with the horse where the horse shares the last 4" of every carrot with him (after teasing him regularly with a long pause before dropping it). --- I think the first thing to do is to put the catfood where he can't get it. I've tried every kind of shampoo. He takes a daily Prednizone pill. It doesn't seem to help much. He's a 3 year old rescue dog. That 'oil' thing sounded interesting. --- I'll read all of those links and try those things suggested. I'll let you all know how it turns out. -JCJ
