The IPO market for the last 1 1/2 years has been an anomoly. There was a program on CNBC earlier this year on this subject. The hosts talked about the historical IPO market in which a very high percentage within the first year or two traded below their IPO price or went bankrupt. It is much to early to tell whether we are returning to the historical norm in the IPO market or whether the exuberance will continue. I believe the next month or two should tell the story. Either way, IPO's have been a nice bonus this past year for all.
