Tim, sounds like you were on South Moresby at the right time for Coho. With all the recent closures, you never know what you'll be allowed to catch and when. There's a lot of catch and release happening. Halibut is always a sure bet though.

We're up in Masset on Graham Island and you don't go hiking without your bear bells, that's for sure. But what is even more plentiful than bear are the black tailed deer. No natural predators so they multiply like rabbits. Most folk have two freezers in their basements - one for deer meat and the other for scallops and crab. Not a bad life! But when I see a deer, I see Bambi - not a steak.
