This is stone-cold posturing before Tuesday. I won't expect any real action until then.
Probably right. The govt has the upper hand, with the judge indicating that he is siding for them and wanting to rule on Tuesday. Therefore, there is little incentive for the govt to make any favorable statements on any msft offers until Monday evening or Tuesday. What do they have to lose? If msft has anything to add to the offer, they would have to come forth by Monday evening. Msft, on the other hand, would not need to come with their best and final offer until Monday evening just in case the govt settled for less.

OTOH, it might be that there is too much testosterone floating around msft and doj, and in the end the shareholders will get screwed.
