would help give stats if I knew what the heck you were asking for darlin <ggg>

percent vs. dollar amount should not have too much affect
unless you need many dinera to trade (too) many stocks at one time
I look to hold no more than 7 stocks in trading account at one time
and even 7 is sometimes too much for me to monitor well
