OPEC Near Agreement to Boost Output 1.7 Mln Barrels (Update2)

Vienna, March 27 (Bloomberg) -- OPEC is close to agreeing to
boost crude oil output quotas by as much as 1.7 million barrels a
day, or 7.4 percent, starting April 1, oil officials said as they
prepared for a meeting in Vienna.

He commented on the possibility of an increase in oil
production of 1.5 million to 1.7 million barrels a day from OPEC,
plus a reported increase of 200,000-300,000 barrels a day from
Mexico.
``The market is not expecting 2 million, though it may sell
off on it. It's a little bit more than the market was expecting on
Friday.'
