I think the answer is in manpower and use of capital Nokia has 55,000 employees with 9 mo. sales of ~13 Bil Dell has ~30,000 employees with 9 mo sales of ~19.5 bil The dollar sales per Dell employee is then around 2.8 times that of a Nokia employee. Very efficient in use of IC and an explaination why Dell claims production costs 1/2 of their competitors. Dell is going to be around for a looooooooong time, even way after LT joins Hank and Candlestick and Flamethrower and the other bears in Bearhaven.
