I just took a quick look at Forte.

While I do not claim to be an expert in EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), nor do I want to start a Forte/WebSphere debate here, but a few things did stick out and I was wondering if you could clarify.

1. Forte does not support wireless as far as I can tell.

2. Forte does not seem to have a document server supporting the write once, distribute anywhere capability of WebSphere.

3. From the Forte site: "For legacy applications, custom wrappers must be provided to deal with the native APIs and to convert the native data streams to an XML equivalent. Given the prevalence of legacy and custom applications, the ability to create new connectors rapidly is a critical factor in the success of integration solutions." Facilitating the creation of these wrappers is one of INTF's functions and it does not seem that Forte can provide this service. The implication is that they will outsource the creation of these wrappers or write them individually.

It seems to me that rather than a threat, Forte is a potential customer of INTF's. Have I missed the point?
