Re: the Register earnings estimates

It looks like Mike Magee is seriously underestimating RAMBUS's earnings for next year. He has a $1.30. First Call has consensus earnings at $ 1.77 for FY2001.

Correcting his calculation 2.5 X 130 X 1.77 = $ 575 per share. I am still using his estimate of 130% growth average over 3 years.
(I believe Magee's three year growth rate is too low but that is another calculation.)

By the way, I think the earnings estimate of $1.77 for next year is too low. Also a favorable resolution the Hitachi case and the issues of DDR could drive the earnings per share even higher. The expansion of licensing into the communications market is another big boost for earnings. Lots of potential here. No wonder Edelstone likes the stock.

:)

Don,
What is your current opinion of RAMBUS? Buy, sell, dump?
