The nightmare scenario is that Maxtor will only manage to destroy profitability for the other NAS vendors without capturing any of their market cap. But the storage market is expanding so in the short term revenues will go up, and that is sufficient to send share prices to the moon. Also in the same quandry is WDC with its Connex product. I wish I knew how that is being received in the market.
