StockGator: Here's an official welcome from the Hunt Head Honcho. You've got a great list there, lots of duplicates with lots of your new threadmates.

I'veprinted your link, but not read it fully yet, but it's sure to be a contribution to the current telescom infrastructure discussion.

I was struck however by the following, from the 2nd or third paragraph:

?We are not going to see a revolution in the next five years, but we will know in two to three years what that revolution is going to look like, what technologies are going to win and which vendors are going to win,?

The authors then go on to describe North America as the 21st Century's petri dish.

The point in bringing this forward is that there is no rush to decide in the next day or two where our money should go. The Gorilla Game plays itself out in slow motion, and impatience on our part will make no difference. Even if we all decide to take a sideline seat for the next two to three years, the winning ticket from there forward will make the youngest of us incredibly wealthy, the middle aged supremely comfortable, and the eldest of us wish we could live forever.! Thanks for the post.

Thanks for introducing yourself, Stockgator, and for the gift of knowledge you brought. We're always pleased to have another working engineer among us. The retired guys on the thread would get dated pretty quickly if we didn't have some technologists around.
