Re: It is going to take some time for the opinions to change.

That's the million dollar question. What will happen to AMD stock over April as a solid Q1 is digested by the markets?

Cirruslvr <Maybe someone who has followed Apple for a while can tell how long it took the general market to perceive Apple as a good company.>

I believe many APPL-lovers still say AAPL is still not fairly valued but I think it is now fairly valued (after a couple recent surges). However, it took AAPL several good quarters in a row of increasing market share and the stock remains very volatile (look over last 3 months). Analysts seem to believe AAPL will have a good year but after that the world will close in again.

In following message boards and the press on both AAPL and AMD there are a lot of similarities in stories and perceptions.

As 03/24 (Per Yahoo):
      P/E 5-Year Growth
AAPL 38 23.6%
DELL 94 33.4%
GTW 44 17.6%
MUEI 38 19.1%

I don't think AAPL dug as deep of a hole as AMD, street perception wise. But they both share the under-dog position relative to gorillas.

<As far as short interest, I think that is updated once a month. So hopefully we get an update before earnings on April 12.>

Isn't short interest posted weekly in Barrons or the WSJ? Don't read either (no time) but have picked up a copy for light reading while travelling.
