Morning David, I actually was in hopes that it was indeed a loss that could be used to offset other capital gains. That is good to know if I wanted to sell a high flyer and not get creamed on the tax. I saw another post from someone (the name escapes me) concerning staying consistent in using this technique as far as using LIFO or FIFO approach. Would you mind addressing this issue for me? Does it mean that once you choose a certain way (your example of LIFO) that you ALWAYS use that method? Thanks for your feedback, Joel
