That is a lot to digest.

Of note is the line regarding the cyclicality of the submarine cable business. I was not sure whether the author was referring to the manufacturing side or the operating side (am I correct in that there is a distinction?). It was my impression that Tyco was building its own network in order to smooth out the cycles on the manufacturing side and provide a more predictable revenue stream by operating the network. If the author is saying that the operating side is cyclical also then that shoots that theory down.
