Since it is so quiet here, I will revisit the S and P 500.
As there is a big cap stock coming out of the index, Monsanto--@ about 30 billion in market cap---I would think that this would be the best time to add a large cap stock like JDSU. It would certainly be easier for index fund managers as they would be required to sell less of their MSFT/INTC/CSCO etc. to make room for it.

JDSU being added when a small cap is removed is not the best time to make that change. Now the S and P has the opportunity to get JDSU added by the end of the week when Monsanto gets removed as it got taken over by a Swedish drug company.

90 billion(JDSU) less 30 billion(Monsanto)= 60 billion is certainly a lot less new buying than would be required if they remove a stock under 1 billion in market to make room for JDSU.

Should be interesting. I am adding to some other possibilities as well. All i need is to be right on one of them.
