SEATTLE, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- RealNetworks(R), Inc., (Nasdaq: RNWK) the recognized leader in media delivery on the Internet, today announced the availability of nine new international editions of RealPlayer(R) 7, the latest version of the award-winning media player, and RealJukebox(TM), the industry-leading jukebox player. New editions of RealPlayer and RealJukebox are being released today in French, German and Japanese, and six additional languages (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Korean and two variations of Chinese) will be available in the next 30 days. Approximately 40% of RealPlayer users and 30% of RealJukebox users today are outside North America.
The new international editions of RealPlayer provide consumers one click access to more than 50 local audio/video channels and radio stations. The RealPlayer Japanese edition now has twenty-two audio/video channels with Japanese content, adding iPPee, the Japanese #1 music portal site and the first personalized music station, and Daiwa Internet TV, providing financial news from Daiwa Securities, one of the largest securities companies in Japan. In addition, the RealPlayer Japanese edition will have a full Japanese edition of Real.com Take5, providing the best in Japanese entertainment, music and news programming to millions of Japanese-speaking RealPlayer users.
