Bert,

Intel is expected to report earnings on 4/11/00, the day before AMD. I have attached Paine Webber's call for a $170 price target for Intel.

RESEARCH ALERT - Intel started at attractive

NEW YORK, March 27 (Reuters) - PaineWebber said on Monday that analyst David Wong had started research coverage of Intel Corp. <INTC.O> with an attractive rating and a 12-month price target of $170 a share.

Intel can achieve top-line and bottom-line growth of about 15 percent a year over the next few years, excluding the effect of future acquisitions. Intel's leadership in semiconductor technology and its dominant position as a supplier of microprocessor chips for computers to be the key element of the stock's value, wrote analyst David Wong in a research note to clients.

The earnings per share estimate for 2000 is $2.86 with $3.28 expected in 2001.

Chips for communications applications could provide an important additional source of growth for Intel.

Wong also said that Intel's portfolio of investments in other technology companies may represent a source of stock value and bottom-line growth that is not fully accounted for his projections.

Shares of Intel closed at 139-1/16 in trade on the Nasdaq stock market.
