With tobacco, the taxpayers were having to foot the bill for the diseases they helped create. On the other hand, Microsoft did no such thing. They actually helped the economy produce wealth. It has everything to do with deep pockets and campaign contributions. If Netscape, Sun etc. think they are getting away with something they better look twice. The DOJ might look at them next or a myriad of other companies...After MSFT they will try and find another popular cash cow to milk. Jim
