So do you have any opinion/analysis of the potential impact to Palm by the introduction of the Quartz by Symbian? Obviously they have the entire GSM world of cell phone users which they expect to "upgrade" over the next couple of years. These numbers far exceed the number of Palm users ... and this seems to be a much better entry into the mainstream via the telephony route ...

I'm not seeing the direction that Palm will take to survive ... they are moving into OS licensing, and they are going to go up "against" EPOC and Java ... even if EPOC supports Palm apps ...
