Tench, Not putting too much of a stretch on it.. just spinning: is a market-opening device that will soon be succeeded by the monolithic McKinley chip in a new package. While Intel has contended that Itanium is a full-production device, --- Intel contends it is a full-production piece, which it is. By implication he is slanting it isn't by even wording it like that. I know it is a full-production piece, no argument there. More spinnable is his assertion is it is a "market-opening" device... i.e. very little penetration, I'm dumbing that down to development platform. Very hot large package, we will see how well it does... only 7 more months 'til we see boxes. Rob
