I spoke to Newbridge Investor Relations this afternoon to try to learn when I could sell Alcatel shares.

Sorry her name escapes me. I was advised that an information package would be mailed out during the 3rd week of April to all share holders of record as of (date?). I didn't write down date as I already have shares. This package is purported to answer all questions.

Assuming that the shareholders meeting planned for 16 May proceeds and approves the take-over, then one should be able to sell Alcatel shares about a week later - said she.

Today, NNC is hitting $51Cdn. Alcatel is trading around $49.50US. At .81 this values an NNC share @ $40.10US or ~ $58CDN. It seems than that selling today vice end May costs me at least $7 per share CDN - everything else being equal.

I need cash, but don't want to throw away almost 15% more profit which can be had by waiting 8 wks.

So, fellow threadsters, is there high confidence that an NNC share will be worth upwards of $60CDN by end May, or will Alcatel drop, at least for a while, keeping the worth of that share at around it's current price???
