Perhaps you ought to read ZDNet's review of Profusion: zdnet.com Running the Ziff-Davis Benchmark Operation's ServerBench benchmark to test performance, the ProLiant 8500 cranked out 3,739 tps (transactions per second). In comparison, running in a four-way configuration, the highest performance it yielded was 2,326 tps, which shows 61 percent scalability.
