A VIA spokesperson said he will unveil plans of investments and mergers and acquisitions after returning from a trip to the U.S. last week. VIA's success in winning a slice of the AMD super microprocessor market has helped lift the sales price and profit margins, making Intel's dominance impossible.

Goutama,

What do you think this means....a slice of AMD's super cpu market?

Goutama - RE: "VIA's success in winning a slice of the AMD super microprocessor market has helped lift the sales price and profit margins, making Intel's dominance impossible."

This, combined with the expected fast MHz ramp of Spitfire (so it doesn't compete with Joshua) will hopefully ensure AMD and Via's products complement each other, not compete with each other.

"But, it seems after the release of this chipset, they have already seen increased profit margins and increased market share!"

Actually, it may be from the MVP3 or MVP4 chipsets. KX133 will probably increase their market share even more.

"This should encourage them to put more effort on AMD chispet development."

Maybe more effort will be put in to get an Athlon chipset on time (KX266)!
