I WILL pass that on...We have talked a lot with him about drinking and the dangers. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't somewhat concerned because well- we've all seen what can happen to even the greatest kids.

It's dawning on us that really all we can do now is hope that all the care and love and teaching (along with a big dose of luck) will get him through these years safely. His grades are exceptional and he's been elected to the college council next year. He also has gotten an internship (well, I THINK he has- not sure if it's 100% yet- he's the only undergrad up for it though) doing research for a professor on robotics and artificial intelligence this summer. The down side of that is that we had wanted him home for the summer, but this sounds too good to pass up. So it's time to let go. And it's hard.

Meanwhile my other one, my sweet baby boy!!,is going to the Senior Prom with an older woman. Now this REALLY has me upset. She's in the play with him- an ACTRESS.
Life upon the wicked stage...

Boy I have to agree most shocktedly and uhm concernedly and responsible adultedly and irresponsible adultedly and drunkenly, jp.

That is very alarming to hear that there is still a campus when funnel shooting and all that completely fucking insane stupidcollegebullshitcrap.com and CHILDISH and REALLY DANGEROUS SHIT is still accepted by the studentia themselves.

I must re-check to see if the local kids are past binge-dynamo-slammer drinking. I believe they are. It's certainly not happening unnoticed or allowed.

The fatalities kind of put a damper on it.

I hope we haven't worried Penni at all and that she will keep the lines of CW-communication open somehow. Miraculously.

What happened to the responsible days, when kids just smoked pot? And you didn't have to worry about them?

Be afraid for them?

I'd be havin a cow, man.

That shit will kill you faster than a big stupid useless stack of logs.
