You are right to trust his judgment. I'd be upset too, though, if I thought the university was endorsing these activities.

I always felt that my mom was much better off not knowing what was going on at college, except for my studies. She knew I partied, but I spared the details until many years later.

I believe in CW and I trust his judgment. I think he'll make good decisions.
Still he's 19.
A lot of my decisions sucked at 19, now that I think about it.

If my mother had known half of the nonsense I got into in college, she'd have been prostrated! What she did know worried her enough. Yet somehow I managed to survive and learn from the mistakes and make some damned good decisions, even by my worried mother's lights. And if she thought that I turned out O.K., I guess that I did.

You can't help worrying, but it sounds as though CW is going to be fine. College is a place to blow off some steam as well as a place to learn, remember. Better now than later in a more dangerous way.
