Draft talk kicking up in Windy City

With the No. 9 pick in the upcoming NFL draft (April 15-16) the Bears are eyeing Michigan State receiver Plaxico Burress and New Mexico safety-linebacker Brian Urlacher. "I don't think both will be there," Mark Hatley told the Chicago Tribune. "But I think one will." If both players are gone, Hatley indicated that running back Thomas Jones from Virginia would be another option, even though Curtis Enis was the team's fifth pick in the 1998 draft. The Ravens, picking No. 5, appear to hold the key to who will end up in Chicago. Baltimore is said to be deciding between Jones and Burress. If Baltimore goes with Jones, the Cardinals are eyeing Urlacher at No. 7. That could leave the Bears with Burress. If Baltimore goes with Burress, the Cardinals are expected to take Jones, possibly leaving the Bears Urlacher. Philadelphia is said to be interested in Florida St. DT Corey Simon at No. 6 and Pittsburgh might take Marshall QB Chad Pennington at No. 8.
