You didn't get the joke. Fuchi always ended his posts with "Fuchi, who loves Cyrix innovations." I was immitating what he used to say. Clearly....I did not know Fuchi. Sorry for the misunderstanding.Perhaps we're reading two different threads. What I see is that the AMD supporters on this thread (and those on the INTC thread) have become more strident, combative, and harsh because of AMD's successes. I guess if that's in retaliation to all of the crap this thread had to put up when AMD wasn't flying so high, then I can understand that. What you see as combative, I see as assertive. When I first came on this thread last June, I was amazed how much abuse was heaped upon the AMD longs by the Intel longs and how meekly the AMD thread took it. It was if the AMD thread was brainwashed....Intel:good; AMD: bad. But at about that time, the thread began to realize that Intel was not perfect and was very capable of making mistakes. Although a very simple notion....that Intel was fallible...I think the thread got a lot from it. And then I think the AMD posters became very assertive/combative for quite a while. But now I think its more......don't blow smoke our way. Alot of this is not handled very well, of course, and at the same time the Intel longs are not used to to this kind of treatment nor to have Intel itself disparaged. The worm has turned to some degree. But if my posts have become more hostile, well, I'm only reacting to those who have become more hostile toward me. (Or maybe I'm just reacting to those who have become more hostile toward Intel, and I'm just taking some of those posts a little too personally. I have a habit of doing that.) I think its some of both....some of the hostility spilled over to you and you may be take Intel insults a little to personally. To me that's the most impressive thing about Intel....the loyalty of its employees and shareholders. The level of goodwill it commands with those groups is a very valuable asset. As for what goes on over at the Intel thread....I don't have time to keep up with it. One thread is enough for me. ted
