Way, way off topic.

Started some covered call writing. Started with one contract on monday for 1 k prem. on 100 shares of ntap. Bought it back on Thurs for 400 bucks so made $600 this week and can write another cc for april.

I am in testing mode and reading all I can on subject. Looks very safe-covered calls ONLY. Do not let your kids do this!

Main danger is that one is in the stock market (risk one can accept anyway) and two, if stock goes up a lot you only get your strike price and so profit side is limited. However, losses are protected to some extent due to prem. income.

I wish I had written cc before this week as I could have bought them back dirt cheap this week.

Best regards, BOB

P.S. This is not the stress free way of doing covered calls. I have started that for my mother and will for myself real soon.
