Paul- Re: Merced will need a rock-solid Operating system - or 2 or 3 - and these take a long time to test, debug, re-test, release and make in-system evaluation and correction. Paul- If you're thinking that 64-bit Windows will be one of these, fagetaboutit!!! I make websites for a living. Microsoft is a complete joke when it comes to making a stable OS. My NT crashes at least twice a week on my notebook, you should see it in a server setting!!! On the other hand, I think there will be some version of Linux available at the time. Linux is all they need, they don't need 2-3 OS's. Have you heard that in Q1 35% of all servers shipped are pre-loaded with Linux? chic
