I'm not so sure one has to be knocking on death's door before jumping on "its all the tobacco co.'s fault" train considering the trend against them via lawsuits.

I suspect if one can prove one has any lung related illness or any indirectly related illness where one was exposed to cigarette smoke, a case can be made against the tobacco companies for compensation.

I find the above article yet another example of an individual, whom I suspect knew full well the risks to their health, attempting to find a scapegoat for their own actions.

Shoot, if it gets any easier, I just may sign up for a class action suit should one come along. Whatever money I get will offset the rise in prices I'll have to pay for cigarettes.

BTW, I hate the fact that I smoke, but I am very addicted. Still, I know the fault is wholly of my own making.
