Unadulterated Thread Bloat re all this talk about building PCs

The main reason I started doing it was to learn about the innards, so that one of these days, when I have time, I could start crafting some outards that are a little more eye-pleasing than the current standard beige box.

Mrs. Buck, who understands all things luxurious, tells me that there is an enormous untapped market of wives and girlfriends who would like nothing more (and pay an outrageous sum) than a hand-crafted PC system made of wood or stone or such. Having seen her friends' houses, I believe it. I'm from the other side of the tracks (WAY on the other side), so I can't picture it, but these are people who will spend $10K on an "occasional table," then not put anything on it.

PS It really isn't that hard to build a PC. Practically Lego-like these days. I highly recommend it. You'll save about $200 for about three hours of work, one hour of which is shopping at Fry's or such.
