Dragon Systems acquired?

Dragon had a net loss of about $22 million on revenue of about $60 million for its fiscal 1999.

I believe SEG owns 25% of Dragon, so we have a more concrete valuation of these holdings now.

Seems to me that the potential for voice recognition software applications is still 3-5 years or so away. Why didn't Dragon do their own IPO and try to tough it out? My understanding is that Dragon's software is superior to both L&H's and IBM's based on independent reviews I have encountered. Perhaps Dragon and L&H are teaming up to try to exert some concerted "muscle" on IBM. Either way I would have liked to see some competition. Better for the consumer as well. (On second thought, screw the consumer and push on with increasing shareholder value.)

Who wants to volunteer to start the DD on L&H???
