Lorrie, sorry to be so long in getting back to you. I was indisposed for a few days. You are certainly right about Blue Bell!! I'll put their ice cream up against anybody's. It's too bad they do not, yet have national distribution. Where did you get some, or do you live closer than I thought? Just a side note. I went to college with Ed and Howard Kruse, who own Blue Bell and we lived all lived in Brenham. Their father had a medium size dairy and had built an "old time" ice cream parlor in town just for the benefit of the citizens. When Ed and Howard graduated, he just turned the whole thing over to them and let them run with it. They made the decision to make only quality ice cream, even if it meant limiting distribution. A good decision-don't you think? The creamery has been in a constant phase of expansion ever since, and is the major industry for many counties around. I hope you continue to enjoy their products. ~H~
