You might consider buying some junior gold companies to get more bang for your gold buck. They tend to go up (and down) a lot more than the seniors like HM, ABX, PDG, and NEM. I own BGO, which I wouldn't tout (I made a lot of money on it several years ago and am fond for it for that reason).
