E-Sync Networks Inks Deal With Multi-Million-Dollar Global Communications Carrier in the United Kingdom

Global Communications Carrier to Use E-Sync Networks' MailFax(SM) Services to Provide Secure Inbound and Outbound Messaging Services to Its Customers

TRUMBULL, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2000-- E-Sync Networks, Inc. (OTC BB: ESNI; e-syncnet.com), a leading global provider of managed e-business-to-business applications and services, today announced that it has inked a deal with a multi-million-dollar global communications carrier in the United Kingdom.

The deal will allow the company to provide E-Sync Networks' MailFax inbound and outbound messaging services to its existing customers.

As part of the agreement, E-Sync Networks will install two inbound facsimile communications servers in its Swindon, United Kingdom facility for the exclusive use of the global carrier and its customers. The inbound services will allow customers to receive faxes as electronic mail. The outbound services will allow customers to use their e-mail capability to send domestic and international faxes automatically from their desktops without additional hardware or software.

For customers that require a high level of security when transmitting documents via the Internet, the global carrier will offer a public key-based infrastructure that encrypts the e-mail containing the fax. Each user will be assigned a digital certificate that he/she can use to encrypt the message before it is transmitted.

``We are delighted that a global carrier of this magnitude has chosen to provide our inbound and outbound MailFax services to its network of industry-leading clients,' says Andrew Lee, Vice President of Managed Services at E-Sync Networks. ``Partnerships with first-rate companies such as this one open new delivery channels that will allow us to build on our established information exchange business. We look forward to supporting our clients with secure messaging services as they roll out their integrated B2B strategies.'
