New Home Sales for Feb. = -0.5% to 919k units

Sales of new one-family houses in February 2000 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 919,000 according to estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 1 (+/-9) percent below the revised January rate of 924,000, but 3 (+/-10) percent above the revised February 1999 rate of 893,000.
