John,thanks for the info... well it's no wonder short interest on CSCO has declined...the covering of short positions surely contributed to the rally. admittedly i never looked how the short interest changed over time, but i found this article yesterday:

of course the short interest in these stocks is not all that much compared to the float, but it seems sufficient to drive the stocks concerned higher, regardless of fundamentals or bloated valuations. one wonders why the shorts haven't given up yet...
