MC2 Learning Systems Re-named Centrinity

$15 million R&D investment to further develop leading
Unified Messaging technology

Markham, ON ? March 30, 2000 (BCE Emergis) ? MC2 Learning Systems Inc. has
adopted a new name ? Centrinity Inc. ? that reflects the company?s broader
technological scope, wider markets and vastly expanded potential.
The new name was adopted at the company?s annual meeting in Toronto on March
24, 2000 and became effective on March 28, 2000. Plans are under way to change
Centrinity?s ticker symbol on the Canadian Venture Exchange to ?CTI?. It is
currently ?MCZ.A?.

Centrinity also announced today it will hire an additional 100 employees within
the next 12 months to support its growth, and invest CDN$15 million in R&D
initiatives within its new unified messaging (UM) development unit.
Centrinity?s top three priorities for the next six months will be to: bring to
market FirstClass-based unified messaging through technology licensing
agreements with telecommunications companies, systems integrators and
application service providers; continue to enhance and increase enterprise
integrated communications environment (ICE) market share for its FirstClass
Intranet Server Gold; and maintain its leadership position in the education
market with FirstClass Collaborative Classroom Gold.

Centrinity will use SoftArc?s FirstClass architecture for computer and
telephony integration solutions in its Unified Messaging technology. The
company?s UM technology can accommodate an infinite range of communications
protocols and give users maximum flexibility by enabling access through any
communication device to messages generated by voice, fax, or electronic media
from one unified mailbox.

?MC2 acquired SoftArc to fast-track the company?s evolution and broaden its
focus beyond collaborative learning solutions for the North American
kindergarten-to-grade 12 market,? said Myles McGovern, President and CEO of
Centrinity. ?Centrinity is a result of that union which meets a much more
expansive need for team-oriented information exchange that leverages the
convergence of telecommunications and computer networks. The name Centrinity
signals our customer-focused team?s commitment to pursuing worth and value for
all our stakeholders by exploiting the unparalleled reliability of our newly
acquired FirstClass client-server core technology and telephony integration
platform.?

Centrinity?s flagship FirstClass software architecture enables the development
of interactive, online information systems that keep users in the know ? no
matter where they happen to be and regardless of network connection device,
protocol or pathway. In addition, all content is rendered in the desired
output format through a server-based collaborative store of cumulative
knowledge. The company will leverage this unique architecture as the foundation
for building digital communities that offer users a single,
easy-to-learn-and-use interface for accessing all their voice-mail, email and
fax messages, and exchanging text, image and audio files.

Centrinity demonstrated a version of its FirstClass-based unified messaging at
the recently held annual meeting. The Company previewed the accessibility of
the FirstClass desktop from a Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) telephone using
Wireless Markup Language (WML). WML, formerly called HDML (Handheld Devices
Markup Language), is a language that allows the text portions of Web pages to
be presented on cellular phones and personal digital assistants via wireless
access. WAP is a protocol that provides a complete set of network communication
programs comparable to and supportive of the Internet set of protocols.

?The annual meeting demonstration affirms Centrinity?s responsiveness in
addressing the evolving trend in using mobile phones as a central
communications device for managing and conducting daily business,? said Mr.
McGovern. ?According to telecommunications industry observers, WAP devices are
signaling a revolution that may have as profound an impact on business and
communications as the invention of the personal computer or the telephone.?

The newly formed Centrinity operates under a new organizational structure. The
company is now comprised of three business units: business development,
enterprise and education. The business development division is focused on the
development and marketing of Centrinity?s FirstClass Unified Messaging
solution. The enterprise division develops and markets the company?s
FirstClass Intranet Server Gold software suite for building global online
collaborative communities of knowledge for workers in associations,
professional services firms, publishing companies, corporate training, and
other small and medium size enterprises. The education division will continue
to focus on FirstClass Collaborative Classroom Gold ? an email and workgroup
collaboration software solution for network-based learning applications in
kindergarten-to?grade 12 schools, universities, colleges and distance education
around the world.
