John, i have no doubt it's a great company...and i also think it has most likely a bright future ahead of it. however, this, and more, has been priced into the stock. this often happens in a late stage mania...one-decision stocks begin to get priced in a manner that defies logic and reality. however, history shows that once that point is reached such stocks cease to be good long term investments. again, this is not in any way a judgment on CSCO's qualities as a company, merely on valuation. of course it is always possible that we are really in a new era and the lessons of history no longer apply. certainly feels that way at times, and yet i can't bring myself to believe that. human nature doesn't change after all. regards, hb
