We're in total agreement on this point, Greg. On any given day a news release could make it gap up 15%. Being on the sidelines would be unfortunate.

Greg...the issue many of us are taking with this DEAD MONEY this is this (speaking for myself of course)...

Labeling a stock dead money implies it is going nowhere and it not worth investing in. Any parameters one may set to balance the label are rather moot. People focus on the buzz word. You wouldn't believe how many people I have had to convince NOT to sell Q this past couple months because they were whinning it wasn't going up anymore i.e. "dead money."

I guess if one is a successful trader (and many of us really doubt there are such things in the LONG run when compared to finding and holding successful companies), the past month or so of basing must have been a nightmare from hell. So they (the trader) sells...and follows other undead money things...keeping an eye on Q of course...then Q starts to move...whoops, back in...maybe a headfake, maybe not but I seriously doubt the buyback was below their exit price...which all makes for ulcers and other unpleasant things.

I just don't understand. Guess it will always be the classic conflict between holders and traders...each feeling their way is best...

now about that GSTRF...
