Re: "I'm looking for a huge blowout quarter."

Comment: How does revnues exceeding $1.1 billion and eps greater than $1.00 sound...If that fits your definition of a blowout quarter, then, imho, it's in the bag!

Chic,

The second possibility, they're sick of getting no respect and having to face their past, so they want to post a blow out quarter and show everyone that AMD is for real.

My thinking exactly. About a month into Q4, AMD guided analysts toward a better than expected quarter, but they did not listen. AMD knew that they would slaughter expectations, but they did not make an earnings preannounment shortly before earnings. Once again, AMD guided higher about a month into Q1. There was some positive reaction from the analysts, but not much. Amd does want their guidance to be listened to. After they again blow away earnings this quarter, they will say, "We tried to tell you, but you didn't listen. Maybe next time you will listen."

I think that "next time" they will listen.

Pravin.
