I think the morgan guys are morons. This reminds me of the two year $125 target on ICGE, when it was $80 after its quiet period. Just like you everyone is ready to pounce when the market stabalizes. I have both utsi and asia. but re asia this is a must own internet china play. if you read the story on Asia they built most of the internet infrastructure in china their ex-ceo is now with CHina telecom. If you believe that the internet will expand in china how can you not own this stock?

Re ASIA: one of my current 3 gorillas. (Other 2 were fine today with WEBM holding up well in down market and SLAB actually way doing way more than fine). Did not believe the Morgan recommendation. The guy is clearly very inexperienced which shows given the fact that his total portfolio of researched stocks is 5. That's all he has. Frustrating because I like buying Morgan IPOs as part of my gorilla plan, not because of Morgan itself but because many of the best gorilla candidates tend to choose Morgan as their lead. Of course, this will stop if Morgan pulls much more crap like today and prevents would-be giants from getting there. But there's a couple of reasons I did not sell and think this will rebound quick. (1) Other recs will follow and DLJ is typically very aggressive. I hope Morgan didn't scare them. (2) The company is a superstar, no 2 ways about it. It's simply a matter of when here and not if. Worst cost will be opportunity cost. (3) Wouldn't be surprised if Morgan was totally ignored. Last year, I sold IIJI for a mere 7 point profit at $49 when Morgan gave it a price target of $54(if memory serves me correct; it was around there anyway). We all know what happened there. (4) I am not certain that the recommendation is what caused the stock's downfall today anyway. The stock was doing just fine this morning in the low 70s with very little selling until the market tanked. I mean, look at VNTR. I don't know what the hell was going on there. This is one of the best companies around in terms of seqential growth in the entire b2b market. It is so undervalued, it is scary. (I haven't bought it yet though as I will not jump on falling knives, but it is definitely on my watchlist). Anyway, overall volume on ASIA was very low meaning that not too many people were concerned. So I'm with Jason for now. Will wait and see what the other recs are.
