I think the consensus of money managers right now is that Internet Banks have to pay too much to attract deposits. So they will never be profitable.

I disagree. They don't have to have all those buildings, and they don't have to have all those tellers and loan officers. But there are lots more attractive investments out there. So I don't own NTBK right now.

Also Telebank just bought up the nationwide network of ATM machines. Also I believe NTBK reimburses your ATM charges. And you can always get a debit card from NTBK and get cash when you buy stuff at retailers with your debit card.

We are nearing the first anniversary of NTBK's historic runup to 240, pre 3:1 split, of course.
