there are many ways to make money, even in bonds.we are proponents of certain types of strategies, and we do not denigrate methods chosen by others,

compare that to taxman who has lack of knowledge about selling puts, and has been disputed so many times by edamo and others. yet he keeps posting and denouncing without any proof other people's strtaegies.

this is not about agree to disagree. this is about giving wrong information, about belittling an investment approach, about misleading newbies. if taxman does not like a strategy, don't subscribe to. read all the posts by ed or myself and others: we never belittle other people's approach, even if they choose to invest in gold bullion.

taxman, listen to confusius:

better to stay silent and let the world think you are stupid than posting your unfounded idiotic statement and proving to the world that you really are

atin...with all due respect, i beseech you to truly read my posts, i advocate all forms of options strategies...

i've never taken an extreme position on anything except absurd statements that can lead the inexperienced to idea formulation based on misconception.

i've posted consistently my opening and closing positions, and reasoning why...

It's okay if they fight. It's part of the warp and woof of this thread. They're committed to their strategies and passionate about defending them. And they are indeed generous about sharing their plays, so I would offer appreciation rather than a reprimand. By the way, ed does buy calls, particularly DIM calls as a stock substitute.
